Tender collects the following information to provide you with a personalized relationship management experience:

2. How We Use Your Data

2.1 Local Data Storage

All personal information stays on your device. This includes:

• Your partner's name, photo, birthday, anniversary
• Their favorite flowers, restaurants, and gifts
• Custom notes and reminders you create
• App preferences and settings

We do not have servers that store your personal data. Everything is encrypted and stored using iOS's secure local storage.

2.2 Location Data Usage

When you use features that search for nearby places (restaurants, movies, comedy shows), we:

• Request your location only when you actively use these search features
• Use your location to query third-party APIs (Yelp, TMDb, Ticketmaster) for nearby results
• Do not store your location data
• Do not track your movements or location history

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings, though search features will not work without it.

2.3 Audio & Speech Data

The Cooling Off Mode feature allows you to optionally record conversations:

• Recording is optional - you control when to start and stop
• Audio is transcribed to text using Apple's on-device speech recognition
• Audio files are NOT saved - only the text transcription is temporarily available during your session
• Transcriptions are NOT stored permanently - they exist only during the Cooling Off session
• AI analysis uses the transcription to provide relationship advice, but does not store the conversation

3. Third-Party Services

Tender integrates with the following third-party services to provide features. These services may collect limited data as described in their privacy policies:

3.1 The Movie Database (TMDb)

Used for: Showing movies currently playing in theaters
Data shared: Your approximate location to find nearby theaters

Used for: Displaying comedy shows and live events near you
Data shared: Your approximate location to find nearby venues

3.3 Yelp

Used for: Finding date night restaurants in your area
Data shared: Your approximate location and budget preferences

Important: We do not share any personal information (names, photos, relationship data) with these third parties. Only your location is used for search purposes.

4. Data Security

We take your data security seriously:

• Local encryption: All data is encrypted using iOS's built-in security features
• No remote storage: Your data never leaves your device except for location-based searches
• No accounts required: No username, password, or email needed
• No tracking: We do not track your app usage or behavior
• No analytics: We do not use analytics services that collect user data

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device:

• You can delete any information at any time within the app
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data
• We cannot recover your data if deleted, as we never had access to it
• There are no backups on our servers - use iCloud Backup if you want to preserve your data

6. Children's Privacy

Tender is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our app, please contact us at kevin.8@icloud.com.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data within the app at any time
• Modification: Edit or update any information
• Deletion: Delete individual items or all data
• Location Control: Enable/disable location access in device settings
• Microphone Control: Enable/disable microphone access in device settings
• Photo Library Control: Manage photo access in device settings
• Notification Control: Manage notification permissions in device settings

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone.

The only data that leaves your device is:

• Location data - sent to search APIs (Yelp, TMDb, Ticketmaster) when you actively use search features
• Search queries - generic queries like "romantic restaurants" (no personal information included)

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. International Users

Tender is available worldwide. Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, no data is transferred internationally. The app complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations by design:

• Data minimization: We only collect what's necessary
• User control: You control all your data
• No profiling: We don't create profiles or track behavior
• Right to deletion: Delete your data anytime
